48 Hours in Baltimore
Most know Baltimore as Charm City, but the locals love to call it Smalltimore — a city as diverse and exciting as a major metropolis, while still ensuring that you’ll run into a couple of friends at the local bar. Follow our guide to 48 hours in Baltimore, and you’ll leave feeling befriended by this big city with a small town feel.
3 p.m. | Walters Art Museum
Start downtown at this Baltimore favorite (for free!). Don’t miss your chance to talk to the conservators as they work to restore art in a special behind-the-scenes exhibition event running through October 2019.
5 p.m. | Mount Vernon
Stroll just up the street to the Mount Vernon neighborhood and see the other Washington Monument. Winter visitors can even enjoy the structure lit with thousands of Christmas lights.
5:30 p.m. | Pre-dinner Drinks at The Brewer’s Art
A 10-minute walk north will bring you to The Brewer’s Art. Grab a glass of its Baltimore-brewed beer, Resurrection, in the cozier underground bar like the locals do.
7 p.m. | Dinner at Morton’s The Steakhouse
This steak-lover’s heaven is the only steakhouse in town that serves all Prime beef. Among its glorious meat and seafood options is the Cajun ribeye, which is marinated in Cajun seasoning for 48 hours to create an unmatched flavor.
9 a.m. | Start with a View
Awake with a view of the stunning Inner Harbor from your hotel room at Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel just across the street.
11 a.m. | Shop in the Great Outdoors
Hit the streets for two distinct shopping experiences in neighborhoods right next door to each other — the glamorous shops at Harbor East and the local favorites in Fells Point.
3 p.m. | Baltimore Brews
Round out your sampling of local beer by heading to Waverly Brewing and Union Craft Brewing. Pro tip: A tasting flight at each is a must to get the full range of each brewery’s finest.
6 p.m. | Farm to Table Flair
Woodberry Kitchen proudly serves food featuring seasonal ingredients from local farms paired with their chef’s celebrated style. Finish the night with the artisan s’mores kit roasted on demand in the outdoor fireplace.
9 a.m. | The Best View in Town
You can’t leave the city without taking in the gorgeous and iconic view from the south side of the harbor at Federal Hill Park. Enjoy, and come back soon!
10:30 a.m. | Brunch at Luminous Lounge in The Westin Baltimore Washington Airport
Before catching your flight home, fuel up with a trip to the custom omelet bar. Then grab one of the Pure Refreshment juices to keep you feeling light and luminous all morning long.
