Summer is just around the corner in Columbus and you could not have picked a better time to visit the fine city. Why, you ask?
Columbus is a haven for street markets and festivals, both wonderful ways to get a taste of local life and culture. You will find art markets, food festivals, live music and more, keeping you entertained all day long. Here’s a shortlist of our favorites—though be sure to ask your front desk agent or concierge for other festival recommendations while you’re in town because there is always something to do and nearly a festival scheduled for every day of the summer.

Columbus Arts Festival (June 9 – 11)
Located along the riverfront, you will enjoy more than 150 performances on six stages, with everything from jazz to classical music, slam poetry and modern dance routines.
Columbus Pride (June 16 – 18)
Show your support for the LGBT community and celebrate at the annual Pride parade and festival. This event series consists of a two-day festival on Friday and Saturday, with a parade on Saturday and a brunch on Sunday. Be sure to plan ahead for this festive weekend full of events!

Downtown Live (Thursday in July—July 6, 13, 20, & 27)
Columbus is putting a little weekend feeling into Thursday nights with the downtown live concert series. Enjoy free music, food trucks, and drinks at the Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion at Columbus Commons. Bring a blanket and cozy up for an evening of relaxing entertainment!
Jazz & Rib Fest (July 21 – 23)
Take in the sweet taste of summer with tasty eats and jazz artists. You are also sure to breathe in the air of friendly competition, as 23 award-winning barbeque teams will compete for the title of “Best Ribs” bragging rights.

Columbus Food Truck Festival (August 18 – 19)
Roll up to a good time when you visit the Food Truck Festival—featuring some of the best of Columbus eats on wheels! As the Largest Food Truck Festival in the Midwest, you will get a taste of over 50 restaurants from Ohio and surrounding areas, with live music on the Bicentennial Park Stage.
Columbus Summer Beer Fest (August 25 – 26)
Sip on craft brews all day long at this beer-centric festival. Take your pick from more than 130 breweries serving over 350 craft beers, along with live music and more.

Columbus Greek Festival (September 1 – 4)
Learn and celebrate the Greek culture at this educational and fun festival. Take cathedral tours, enjoy live music, and even take free cooking classes.
Columbus Oktoberfest (September 22 – 24)
Get a taste for German life at Columbus Oktoberfest. Dine on delicious and traditional German cuisine, dance to live music, and visit the Kinderrplatz center for family fun.
