Mrs. Wilkes’ Dining Room

Cohen's Retreat
A destination in itself, Cohen’s Retreat was opened in the 1930s as a gentleman’s retreat. Ccurrent owners have transformed the property into a haven for artists, creatives and musicians to develop their work. Visit for lunch or dinner for southern classics like Fried Green Tomatos, She Crab Soup and Fried Catfish.

The Collins Quarter
Located in the heart of Savannah, this casual café features colorful farm-to-table ingredients paired with fine wines, craft beers and specialty coffees. Inspired by Melbourne, Australia’s historic Collins street, this restaurant serves brunch and dinner.

Huey’s on the River
Huey’s serves brunch every day (can we can an Amen?!). This popular spot is located right on River Street overlooking the activity of the most popular area of town. This New Orleans style eatery features beignets--sweet donut-like pastries that are coated in powdered sugar.

B. Matthews Eatery
With a brunch menu that’s served morning and afternoon, you can’t go wrong. The quaint corner restaurant features southern favorites like biscuits & gravy and shrimp & grits as well as your classics like omelets and French toast. If you’re really feeling daring, try the walnut and bourbon chutney waffle.

Driftaway Café
Relax in Driftaway Café’s casual setting and enjoy the freshest seafood straight from the Atlantic. Located off the beaten path, Driftaway’s extensive menu features something for everyone. Try the Crab Cake Benedict or the Southern Fried Chicken Biscuit. Hankering lunch instead? Choose from a wide variety of tacos, wraps, salads and pastas.

Escape to Alley Cat Lounge, a basement venue accessible via an alley entrance (so in these days). This local establishment prides themselves on serving people and experiences – not food and cocktails (though they’re very good at both). Artillery Bar
Open up your Instagram app and get snapping – this bar is going to make your social media friends envious. With architectural bones that date back to the late 1800s, Artillery has an old-timey feel with modern design elements that evoke the feeling of late 19th century romanticism.

Crystal Beer Parlor
Opened in 1933, Crystal Beer Parlor is Savannah’s oldest restaurant and houses many memories of locals, visitors and even famous people. Known for their delicious burgers and selection of over 80 beers, you can find this restaurant off the beaten path.
