Guide to Vancouver Pride

One of the largest LGBTQ2+ Pride celebrations in the world, Vancouver Pride is celebrated with events throughout the summer that culminate with Pride weekend in August. With Canada also celebrating its 150th birthday this year, and the city celebrating a three-day BC Day weekend, August 5-7, you can expect this year’s Pride weekend to be especially epic.

Davie Street Party

Friday, August 4 | West End

Hosted by the Vancouver Pride Society, the Davie Street Party presented by Fido kicks off Pride Weekend with an energizing extravaganza of music, dancing and live performances. Festivities run from 6 p.m. to midnight on Davie Street between Burrard and Jervis.

Honda Celebration of Light

Saturday, August 5  |  English Bay

While not an official Vancouver Pride event, the dazzling Honda Celebration of Light fireworks competition will (literally) make this year’s Pride festivities lit. The popular annual summer festival pits Japan, the UK and Canada against each other in a spectacular three-night fireworks competition above English Bay. Learn more.

39th Annual Vancouver Pride Parade

Sunday, August 6  |  West End

Get decked out in your rainbow wear and cheer as festive floats and spirited participants march for equality, diversity and inclusion. Over 650,000 spectators are expected, so arrive early to snag a spot along the parade route that runs along Robson Street before heading up Denman in the West End.

Sunset Beach Festival

Sunday, August 6  |  West End
