You can learn a lot about travelers -- and people -- from the contents of their weekend travel bag. Naomi Davis runs Love Taza, a blog celebrating motherhood, family, travel, good food and life’s simple joys. Take a peek inside her bag to see how a mother of three creates unforgettable memories one weekend getaway at a time.
For Naomi Davis, also known as Taza, travel is all about making fun new memories with her husband, Josh (who affectionately gave her the nickname), and their three young children. "I love the chance travel offers us to experience new places, new adventures and new things," she says. "Especially when I'm able to do so with my family. The memories we create are treasures for me."
With that mindset, it's no surprise that Taza's must-pack travel items skew family-friendly:
A variety of snacks and treats
These items "always help our kids feel busy and engaged while we travel," Taza says. "Putting everything into their own mini backpacks so they feel like they are participating and like they are true little travelers is always a lot of fun, too."
While Taza loves her New York City home -- it's one of her blogs main obsessions -- she makes a point of taking a trip about once a month. This comes from a love of travel that started when she was a kid. "Since I was a little girl, I've always loved seeing new places," she says. "Whether it was a trip to a beach or spending a night camping in the mountains, it was always a good time."

As a busy blogger and ambitious entrepreneur Taza works hard, so her weekends are an opportunity to enjoy family time and instill her life-long love of travel in her children. "It depends on the kind of trip you're taking, but you definitely don't need days upon days for a memorable experience," she says. "Even just a few hours with your family can be the perfect time frame for a memorable activity or outing."
Taza recalls a recent weekend trip to Deer Valley, Utah, that included horseback riding, kite flying, roasting s'mores, playing in the pool and visiting Park City's Alpine Slide. "We also felt like we had plenty of downtime to just relax and hang out at the hotel together," Taza says. "That trip is still one of my very favorites that we've done together, and those memories mean the world to me."
